Now working on a new title for the blog...as the library part gets smaller and smaller.

August 26, 1969
Only one of the people in this picture knew how fast the years could go by...
and she wouldn't have bet on our celebrating 46 of them today.

Still the one...
"After all these years...
"You're still the one
that makes me laugh
Still the one
That's my better half
We're still having fun...
and you're still the one"

70th anniversary
March 21 - the first full day of Spring!
The day in 1942 when these two wonderful people married.
They were young, the world was uncertain.
They didn't know that it would someday include me and my brother.
They couldn't know that 70 years later we'd be thinking of them on the first day of Spring.

Happy Anniversary week
I did mean to post this on the actual anniversary day, but that slipped away from me, and this seemed an auspicious day to post it when the whole world is thinking of weddings.
Happy Anniversary to the Bloomingtonauts!

The 40th
Last week a dozen red roses appeared on the library circulation desk.
Over a week later, they are fully opened and are even more beautiful.
Every teacher and staff person has been by to admire them and ask
"Is it a special day?"
"Yes," I admit.
Conversation ensues.
So I now know that I've been married longer than anyone else in the entire school.
