Next year Guinness...

Everyone needs a little St. Pat's celebration, right? Wearin' the green an' all that.
Hey, we love our holidays!
But the annual gathering at the Irish Lion just wasn't happening this year.

So, no Guinness.  Sadly. Still....

We needed something.

Marsh came through with a special...so we commemorated the day with cheese.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

For many years now we've met Mimi at the Irish Lion to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. The group that gathered there grew through the years from four or five of us to almost twenty one year. People came and went, but Mimi always had the table decorated and the waiters laughing.
This year we didn't make it to the Irish Lion. We celebrated anyway. Granddad wore a green hat to his doctor's appointment. I decorated our table. Mimi made sure Granddad had corned beef and cabbage.

She ended up making two trips to the Irish Lion to fetch dinner and dessert -
("they remembered me" she said wonderingly.
I was not surprised. How many O'Mimis can there be?)
and she made sure that there was Irish beer to drink.
Sure, and I hope you had a fine celebration o' your own!
