Lots of little creatures want to know:

 What happened to Spring?

We're shivering out here!

The only flowers are inside.

But some creatures are snug and warm...

"No", says Socks."I'm NOT getting up."

Just another chilly evening

"Hey, I'm cold - give some covers over here"

"You've already got all the covers."

"I don't have the covers."

"Well, I don't have them either."

"Somebody has to have them."

...and somebody does.

 It has only been half a month since I sat down to catch up on the blog.

It has been a busy half-a-month.

I took pictures for about ten different posts.

You are only getting the short summary version here.

Because, as I said, it has been a busy half-a-month, with more to come.

So what has been going on?

We've had company to play with.

We've had birthdays to celebrate, both at home

and out.

The Man Who Cooks has been perfecting a recipe,

and trying it out on all the company.

The Bloomingtonauts have sorted through boxes and boxes to find treasures to take home,

and my German BIL has done the same with American stores.

We have braved the cold to look for migrating ducks.

And we've had lots of conversation and discussion

and planning and anticipating.

Oh - and lots and LOTS and too much weather!

There was a brief time between snows when the front walk was merely wet.  

There I found this carefully arranged message from the universe:  "R".  

It was unexpected.  The very medium of frozen worm was unanticipated.

And despite the clear attempt to communicate, I am left with many unanswered questions.
