The Wind Blew...

and it blew the head right off.
Poor decapitated light post!

Mid February

This year, this shortest month seems long.
Cold weather lingers.  Snow still floats through the air.
The wind lowers the already low temperature.
There are pieces of the month that we are struggling to put together.

Granddad in the hospital with pneumonia, Mimi in the emergency room with a stroke.  Both home and recovering now.

Lists and more lists of things as yet not done.

Looking ahead...

Can we really only be half-way through this short month?

February begins

We cheered when we turned the calendar page to February.

Not because of Groundhog's Day.

Because scribbled on Feb 1 was visitors from Wyoming!

And there, right at our own dinner table, was Dr. Hausfrau

and the Camera Shy Kid.
Don't take your picture?  What?
You know how long it's been since you've been here to have me take your picture???
Ha, we did get a picture!
In fact, we got quite a few.
The Camera-shy Kid met his match in Mimi.
Dr. Hausfrau and Hoosierkitty were amused.
They were here for one super exciting IU basketball game, which I assume you all know about.
The next morning they were still wearing their new fan gear when 1/2 of the Indy Duo showed up to join us.
After breakfast everyone whipped out an electronic device
for some serious communicating
and also learned how to blow the heads off pictures. Or have meteorites crash into them.
The Kid was super enthusiastic about this.
Granddad had a chance to show off his ancient artifacts
and to be bemused by the modern technology that the Kid has mastered.
We LOVED having you visit! Come back soon!
